My goal is to work in an educational setting where I can turn my years of experience in marketing communications, multimedia development, and corporate training into an opportunity to benefit students, faculty, or institutions.

Both academically and professionally I have an extensive background in a wide range of both theoretical and real-world design, multimedia and communications activities. These activities have included everything from developing written materials, training, and presentations to working with journalists, producing videos, and creating a variety of online and print media. Not only have I worked in the field of high-tech corporate and marketing communications for more than two decades, I also have a BA in Communications with concentration in Visual Arts from UCSD and an MA in Educational Technology with an emphasis in Multimedia from San Diego State University. In addition, I received a Community College Instruction Certificate from UCSD Extension and have completed the requirements for an Adult Education Designated Subjects Credential (although the paperwork for this is still in process).

Most recently, I have worked as an adjunct instructor in the Educational Technology Department at SDSU where I have had the opportunity to participate in virtually all aspects of teaching and managing technology and multimedia development courses, both online and on campus. These courses included students of all ethnicities and backgrounds. In fact, the online classes have generally included a variety of international students.
